C2Society Workshop
A hands-on cybersecurity workshop covering ethical hacking, cryptography, web and AI security, OSINT, and lockpicking — building the fundamentals and the hacker mindset. Hosted by C2Society and DC702.
About C2Society
C2Society is a cybersecurity and hacker community based in Las Vegas, Nevada. We host workshops, training sessions, and social events aimed at making cybersecurity accessible to everyone — from curious beginners to experienced professionals.
We operate in partnership with DC702, the Las Vegas DEF CON Groups chapter. DC702 has been active in the community for many years and is closely tied to DEF CON, the world's largest hacker conference held annually in Las Vegas.
C2Workshop is one of our workshops for those looking for an exposure to cybersecurity and hacking — an introduction to the tools, concepts, and mindset of our industry.
Ethical Hacking
The foundation — what ethical hacking is, the legal and ethical ground rules, the penetration-testing methodology, and where to keep learning (HTB, OffSec, pwn.college, and more).
Crypto
Cryptography — Learn about cryptography and how it drives nearly all modern security controls and technology.
Web
Web — Learn about web hacking and the basics of how a website works (and is attacked).
AI
Artificial Intelligence — learn what AI and LLMs are, how they're changing cybersecurity, and try a hands-on prompt-injection challenge.
Lockpicking
Learn how pin tumbler locks work, explore raking vs. single-pin picking, and understand tension as a metaphor for precision hacking.
OSINT
Open Source Intelligence — learn how to gather insights from publicly available information. Includes Google dorking, digital footprints, and real-world OSINT techniques.
